Thursday

Hannah and I stopped at the store for some bite-sized scones on the way to our playdate at the Moyles and I slipped through the drive-thru at Cosmic Coffee for some candy bar flavored coffee for myself and Susanne. Heather at Cosmic gave Hannah a lollipop and while I said thank you for her, Hannah was a tiny bit upset that she didn't get a chance to say thanks from the backseat. Hannah and Emily played great together and then Hannah played with Braedyn when he got home from school. Thanks again, Susanne for lunch! Cartoons when we got home.

Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday

Monday: The Moyles came over! We had fun, pizza, play time outside, a Halloween movie (Pooh's Heffalump Halloween), and some sugary treats.

Tuesday: Pajamas and laundry. Too much TV.

Wednesday: Hannah visited with my folks and I went to the salon. Then I visited with my mom while Hannah went with Papa to pick up Nate from school.

Friday

Hannah and I went to visit Susanne, Emily, and Braedyn today. We were invited to come over for lunch and stay through dinner. (Thanks again, Susanne!) Brad and Greg (a.k.a. Braedyn and Emily's daddy) joined us after work. It was a nice day and the kids played well together.

Tuesday

Hannah and I went to see the Moyles today. It was nice to get out and visit with friends. Hannah seemed to have a good time. Susanne fed us lunch (Thanks again, Susanne!) and Hannah had a good appetite. The kids played outside after lunch and somehow Hannah ended up soaking wet so we had to borrow some of Emily's clothes for the ride home.

Monday & Tuesday

On Monday, Hannah went to visit my parents for a while so I could go to a meeting at the bank and work around the house.

Today, Hannah and I met Susanne and kids at their house and rode up to Sand Harbor at Lake Tahoe with them. It was a nice day and the kids seemed to have fun. Hannah did cry at one point when the sand got too hot to walk on. She got wet without making a fuss and loved digging in the sand.

Tuesday

We woke up around 8:30 AM. Cereal in milk, pink moo. Cartoons.

The Moyle kids came over around 10:30 AM. Susanne stuck around for a few minutes and chatted before she went off to do her thing.

Snack (brought by Susanne): String cheese and drinkable yogurt. (We saved the peanut butter crackers for lunch.)

Emily stayed inside and watched TV while Hannah and Braedyn played on the trike and scooter for a bit. Then we painted some rocks with the sidewalk paint (a liquid chalk substance by Crayola.)

Lunch: Hot dog, mac'n cheese, mixed fruit cup, peanut butter crackers. Fruit punch to drink and Jello for dessert.

The kids played with blocks, colored pictures, played with more blocks.

Hannah went right down for nap when Susanne picked up the kids around 2 PM. She read to herself and sang songs for about 10 minutes and then just sort of conked out. She slept for two hours. Cuddles and cartoons.

Snack: half of a PB&J with pink moo.

Brad got home just after 5 PM.

Tuesday

Hannah woke up around 8:30 AM. I don't know what time she climbed into my bed last night/this morning. She was just there when I woke up. Pink moo, toasty sticks, cartoon.

Hannah went to play at the Moyle's today while I went to an appointment. They had peanut butter and honey trains (sandwiches) and cupcakes for dessert. She was playing in the water table when I left and running around with a toy shopping cart when I picked her up. I guess she had a hard time sitting still to play some games. She also had a very hard time listening to me when it was time to leave.

I had Hannah lay down for a little quiet time when we got home. She didn't have to go to sleep but she did anyway. I started out looking for something that I never did find and lost track of time. She was still asleep when Brad got home around 5 PM.

Tuesday

Garrett got here just before 6:30 AM. He stayed quiet until I woke Hannah up around 8 AM. Pink moo and toasty waffles for both. Hannah didn't want her toasty waffle any more. She said she didn't lick it, so I asked if I could have it. She said no and took one bite then put the rest in the sink. They watched some cartoons.

Hannah and Garrett said they were hungry and we weren't sure what time the Moyles would be here, so they had some carrots and peanut butter for snack with lemonade. Susanne and the kids got here just after that and they brought some drinkable yogurts for the kids.

Four children tore it up in the living room for a little while then we went into the backyard. We took a timer out with us and they took turns on Hannah's scooter and tricycle. The favorite activity of the day was hunting for roly-poly/potato/pill- bugs.

Lunch: chicken nuggets, mixed fruit cup, gold fish crackers, cheese, and apple juice. Dessert was a dollop of store-brand Nutella between two vanilla wafers. The kids really dug this. Susanne and I had some Zattaran's Red Beans and Rice. It wasn't bad.

After Emily and Braedyn left, I sent the other two straight to nap. I read two more chapters of Winnie-the-Pooh and Garrett fell asleep at the beginning of Chapter 4. Hannah was still awake when I left the room but fell asleep shortly after. They each slept for about two hours.

Snack: fruit snack and water (we were out of milk.) Cartoon.

The kids played with cars for a long time then went outside for a bit.

Brad got home around 5:30 PM then went to the Home Depot. The kids ran around like lunatics while I made dinner.

Second snack: some pepperoni and mozzarella cheese because they were "staaaaaarvvvvvinnng".

I went ahead and fed Garrett dinner (pizza) and Jim got here around 6:30 PM.

Thursday

Garrett got dropped off around 6:15 AM. He said he'd eaten breakfast so Brad just gave him a yogurt cup. Garrett said he was full so he didn't finish it. Hannah didn't finish hers yesterday, either. I suspect the Yoplait may not be as tasty as advertised. He played with toys while Hannah slept.

Hannah woke up around 7:45 AM in her own bed. She had pink moo and toasty sticks for breakfast.

We washed and brushed (Hannah's teeth) and headed out the door to meet Susanne and kids at the Lazy 5 Regional Park. The kids played at the playground for a little while and had dried fruit for a snack. We went over to the water play park around opening time only to find out that they were not going to open until June 4th. Hannah was very upset that we couldn't stay and it took her a little while to calm down. Garrett was really easy-going about the whole thing. He's such a cool little dude.

We decided to let the kids eat their lunches at the picnic tables and move the party to the Coconut Bowl. Lunch was turkey and cheese sandwiches with chips and apple juice. Our friend, Tracy, and her kids came by the park and went to the Coconut bowl with us.

The Coconut Bowl has this play area indoors with a huge climbing structure and foam balls you shoot through air guns. They climbed all over that thing until Hannah got stuck and panicked. Then she said she hurt her leg but was fine after she cried it out. Overall, they appeared to enjoy themselves. We left a little later than I had planned to and got back to the house just before 2 PM.

The kids said they were hungry when we got home, so I fed them cheese and crackers with milk for a snack.

I put them down for quiet time around 2:15 PM even though it was so late because they were going to fall to pieces or knock each other over or both. I gave two warnings for them to go to sleep and they didn't settle down, so I moved Garrett's nap mat to the living room where he fell asleep quickly. Hannah finally conked out just before 3 PM.

Jim picked up Garrett just before 4 PM. We chatted for a bit before he and Garrett went home. Hannah woke up around that time. I let her watch a cartoon while I got dinner started. Brad got home at 5:30 PM.

[Reminder: this is the part about me. It may be extremely boring. You have been warned.

Laundry. That's pretty much it today. Just laundry. Oh, and I changed the sheets on our bed which made more laundry.]

Tuesday

Monday was Memorial Day and a holiday. Since Brad was home with us, there isn't an update for yesterday.

Hannah and I overslept after a bad night of back-and-forth beds. In the end, she woke up in her own bed around 9:15 AM. She had cereal in milk for breakfast.

Emily and Braedyn came to play today while their mom ran some errands. Hannah had the sniffles and was somewhat moody. (I'm being extremely charitable by using the word moody.) They had an assorted snack that Susanne had brought with some cranberry-raspberry juice. Lunch was fish sticks, fries, buttered corn, and more juice. They finally ate enough food to have banana cream pudding and vanilla wafers for dessert. We didn't play much outside as the children were disappointed in the lack of a paddling pool and therefore, could not entertain themselves long.

After Susanne picked up her kids, Hannah went right down for nap and was out like a light in minutes. I surfed the internet for a few minutes then folded some laundry. I tried to wake her up after two hours and she wouldn't budge. I let her sleep.

She was just waking up when Brad got home around 5 PM.

Wednesday

Hannah woke up in her own bed around 8:30 AM. She had toasty waffles and pink moo. Cartoons.

Hannah helped me put water in the paddling pool to prepare for our play date today.

The Moyles came over and the kids splashed around in the paddling pool and went down the water slide. They seemed to enjoy themselves but the water was cold and the wind was a little chilly. The kids occupied themselves out of the water by bug hunting. Susanne brought watermelon and cheese sticks for snack. That was very nice. Brad came home for lunch. We came inside and played for a little bit then had lunch. The kids ate chicken nuggets, fruit cup, and goldfish crackers. They had mini cupcakes for dessert that Brad had brought with him. The kids played for a few more minutes before our friends went home for quiet time.

Hannah took a little while to fall asleep but eventually, she did. I was reading the book for the next book club meeting in a few days (ack! I'm behind!) and wasn't watching the clock. She ended up with a 2 1/2 hour nap. Cartoons.

Brad got home around 5:30 PM.

Tuesday

I woke up Hannah around 8:45 AM and fed her cereal in milk. We got dressed and ready and went to Susanne's. It was my day to drop Hannah off and run errands and got my hair cut.

Susanne said Hannah didn't eat much macaroni and cheese. The kids played mostly well together also.

Hannah was asleep in the car when we got home. I tried to wake her up after about an hour because it was after 3 PM when we got home. She wouldn't wake up. I let her sleep a little while longer.

Brad got home close to 5 PM.

Monday

Hannah woke up around 9 AM in her own bed. Pink moo, toasty sticks.

We took our time getting up and out even though it made us late for a playgroup meet-up at Damonte Ranch Park. We got there around the time the others were leaving. We took Hannah's tricycle with us and she rode that for about seven minutes total. It was very hot. Susanne and kids met us after their gymnastics class and we hung out there for a little bit.

Susanne invited us back to her house for lunch and we gladly accepted. The kids had fun and played together well today. She fed us leftover pizza. The kids also had apple slices and Cheetos with theirs and Hannah ate fairly well. It was really nice to visit with Susanne again since we haven't seen each other for a while.

Hannah did not go right to sleep when we got home even though she needed to. In fact, she refused to sleep and got into trouble for playing and making noise when she was supposed to be resting. I made her stay in bed for the full two hours she would have slept so I could get bills paid. When I went to let her get up, she was conked out.

Snack was pink moo and some leftover corn bread.

Brad got home around 5:15 PM.
