Thursday
Hannah and I lazed around for a bit this morning. She said she didn't want to play in the paddling pool like I had planned and asked when we could go back to the water park. We had lunch first and got to the water park around 1:30 PM. I wasn't prepared, so it took a little while to pack towels, sunscreen, life vest, and all. We had some fun then it started raining. Hannah didn't like the rain getting her wet even though we'd been getting wet all over the place. Then, the lightning started and the park officials asked people to get under cover. We decided to just go home since it was getting late in the afternoon anyway. Hannah was asleep before we'd left the parking lot. I let her sleep for about an hour and a half then we watched cartoons until Brad got home.

This is a reference to a friend's blog in which Hannah makes a guest appearance. The Duval's blog: MatthewDuval.Blogspot.com. Cute pictures!

Monday, sunny-day? Only for a few minutes.
Hannah stayed in her own bed until about 6:30 AM and went back to sleep in my bed. We woke up around 8 AM and got out of bed close to 8:30 AM. Hannah tried to throw a fit when I tried to get her to go potty. We got dressed, washed, and brushed right away, just for the heck of it. Breakfast was toasty sticks and pink moo. Hannah watched some cartoons for about an hour.
Hannah played with her cars and tracks for a while. She also helped me swap laundry from washer to dryer. We also listened to some music on a CD and online.
Hannah had dry Life cereal and orange juice for snack. Afterward, she played "trick-or-treat" with her toys.
Lunch was leftover hot dog, macaroni and cheese, and peas with more OJ to drink. She ate pretty well so I let her have a little bit of her little carrot cake.
I set the timer again for nap but set it for 20 minutes today for her to get her wiggles out and she fell asleep before the timer went off! This was around 1:30 PM. She woke up on her own around 3:30 PM. There was an argument trying to get her on the potty.
Cartoon and pink moo. She said she didn't want a snack.
Hannah threw the biggest tantrum when her cartoon was over and I turned off the TV. She was yelling at me that she wanted her daddy and made herself hysterical. I sent her to time out and when she got to where she could calm down we talked about it not being OK to throw a fit. I also let her know that she could not have anymore cartoons or computer (she plays with Daddy) for the rest of the night.
She played in her room while I tried to vacuum but she doesn't like how loud it is so she kept yelling at me to stop.
Brad got home around 5:15 PM and took her for a walk.

Comeback for Pooh after 80 years
[BBC] David Benedictus, author of the Winnie the Pooh sequel gives us a 'flavour' of the new book.
"The late AA Milne's beloved children's character Winnie the Pooh is set to return to bookshelves, 80 years on from his first literary appearance."

FEATURED FAVORITE
I haven't posted a favorite in a very long time. Here's one of our favorite cookbooks: I'll Have What They're Having: Legendary Local Cuisine. We had the Chicken Fried Steak tonight.

This is an interesting article that expresses what I feel and fear. Thanks to Becca for sharing the link.

"How did we get here? I certainly don't want just any old Average Joe to lead our country. I want someone who knows facts and issues. And if they don't know something, I want someone with the intellectual curiosity to learn and find out! Pick up a newspaper, get online, and surround yourself with other intelligent people. Yet McCain can't use the internet and Palin can't name a paper she reads. Where is the intellectualism to be a true leader in this time of trouble in our country?"
