Wednesday & Thursday
Wednesday: I worked. Hannah got to play outside with Papa and they all went to Red Robin for lunch. Hannah got a purple balloon. We came home and she fell asleep during quiet time. It was really hard for me to wake her up and she came out of dreamland right in time to get ready for swim lessons. They did some kicks in the big pool again.
Thursday: We slept in and spend half of the day in our PJs. We got dressed and walked Petey to the playground. It was a very nice day to be out in the sun. We dropped Petey off at home and went to get some lunch. Subway apparently only has six sandwiches available and not one of them was a ham and cheese option. That's according to the less than enthusiastic wave of the underpaid employee's arm in the direction of the menu board. We didn't eat there. We ended up at the Black Bear diner who, coincidentally, doesn't have a ham and cheese sandwich either. They were willing to put ham on a grilled cheese though and that was good enough for Hannah. She ate half of the sandwich and some ice cream. After our late lunch, we went to the DMV. After we drove around to the back parking lot and found a single space in the gravely parking area behind the back lot, I pulled right back out and headed home. I figured it wasn't a good idea to go into the DMV when there wasn't any place left to park.

Thursday & Friday
Thursday: We had a pajama day but it wasn't very lazy. We watched some cartoons, then we changed the sheets on my bed, then we watched a movie and folded laundry at the same time. Hannah colored, played with her toys, played games at PBSKids.org, and tormented the dog.
Friday: I worked today. Hannah rode her scooter at Papa's and played outside for a while. She had a nap with Momo and got to play some more with Nate. We went to Scheels later in the afternoon and bought some snow pants for me ($35-ish on sale!!) and then we ran to Target for some sundries. Hannah was a big helper, again, and helped carry the hand basket through half an aisle then one of the lighter bags to the car.

Tuesday
We slept in. Watched cartoons. Went swimming at the rec center pool for toddler time. We met our friends, The Boettchers, at Alf Sorensen's for some time in the tot pool. There weren't very many people there at all so Hannah and Sonja had a lot of room to paddle and splash around. Hannah dunked herself under water all by her self several times. It was a very big achievement. We ended up having a late lunch then a late nap. Hannah asked to play with her Thomas the Tank Engine Trackmaster set so we set that up and she played with it for a very long time.

Monday
I worked today. Hannah went with her grandparents to Costco and Wal-Mart. She told Momo and Papa, very excitedly, that "they have Samples here!" when they got to Costco. She napped for them then played with Nathan for a bit before I took her home. We came home and had a little snack and a movie then went to swim lessons. It was just Hannah and one other boy so they got a lot of teaching and learning time in. Hannah did really well kicking and doing Big Arms.

Friday
I worked today. Hannah napped for a couple of hours with Papa which made the afternoon quite pleasant. Papa helped us pick up my new rolling kitchen island cart at Ace Hardware this afternoon. They had fun saying hello to Jerry, the toucan.

Tuesday
Hannah went with me to the salon so I could get my hair cut. She waited very well. Then we came home for lunch and got a few chores done. We were listening to some Disney music on Pandora Radio and Hannah kept noticing the Lion King songs and asked to watch the movie. Papa dropped Nathan Nephew (12) off after school because Hannah asked if her cousin could do his homework at our house today. They played with Legos for a while. Nate is so good with Hannah and plays with her extremely well. Hannah would sing "Nants ingonyama!" from "The Circle of Life" song and Nate would answer "Ricola!" We went to the grocery store and both kids were a big help in the shopping. Nate even helped carry the groceries in from the car. My only complaint is that Nate pointed out the Twinkies then expressed ultimate shock that I hadn't introduced Hostess products to Hannah yet. He's right. I'm a horrible mother for keeping the sugar-devil, Hostess, away from the kid. So, I bought a box of Twinkies and a box of Ho-hos. (Brad's waistline be damned, ha ha!)

Monday
We spent the morning hanging out at home. I swept, swiffered, and mopped the kitchen floor before lunch. (We have a beagle, so yes, I sweep AND swiffer.) I should have swiffered twice but got tired. After lunch we met some friends for a stroll around the Sparks Marina. Hannah got to ride her scooter and we took Petey with us. He did OK ignoring the other dogs but that little pooch marked his territory every three steps. I didn't know a dog could pee that much. Hannah got to play for a few minutes at the slushy, soggy playground then we came home for a rest and snack.

Monday, Tuesday, & Wednesday
Monday: We got a late start but made it barely in time to see Santa Claus at the mall. We met Auntie Nina, Nephew Nate, and Brad at Meadowood and spent over an hour in line for Nate and Hannah to get a picture with Ol' Saint Nick. (Hannah is wearing the jeans and sweater that Auntie Gail gave her for her birthday.) We ate lunch in the food court with Nina, Nate and Brad then we came home and had a late nap.

Tuesday: Hannah went to my mother's to help make some cookies with Auntie Nina and Nathan while I ran some errands.
Wednesday: We had a play date at the Moyles.
Since this blog's number one purpose evolved to let Brad know what his wife and child were up to each day he was away at work and since he will be home with us for the next 11 days (11 DAYS!!), I/we will probably only post some holiday highlights.
Have a very merry Christmas or happy whatever you choose to celebrate and may the tinsel be with you.

Friday
I took Hannah to soccer school then we had a playdate at the Moyles. The kids got along really well and we ended up staying until after 4 p.m.. Hannah fell asleep in the car just 10 minutes from home and Brad beat us home.

Wednesday and Thursday
Wednesday: Hannah and I went to visit Momo and Papa. Hannah had a great time playing with the great yard sale find that Papa brought home. It's a Casio keyboard and Hannah just had a blast with it. We both napped for quiet time.
Thursday: I had planned for us to go to story time at the library today but Hannah wouldn't help us get out the door by getting ready when I asked her to get dressed and brush her teeth. Since we would have shown up late we didn't go. Hannah said she would try harder next time to help us get out the door. We did go to the bookstore so I could pick up the next book for book club. Hannah got to pick out an itty bitty, hot pink Christmas tree (approx. 10-12 inches tall and on sale for $4.89!) and a book to take home. Since we had a little tree for Hannah, we went to Wal-mart (it wasn't so bad) to get some little ornaments to put on it. I didn't like their limited selection but we found a couple of cute things. Since it was about lunchtime and we were still on the south end of town, we met Brad for lunch. On the way home, we decided to make a quick stop at Target to see if they had better ornaments and picked up a couple for the big tree as well. We walked Petey through the park when we got home.

Monday & Tuesday
Monday: We hung out at home and did some laundry and dishes. We watched too much TV until it was time to get Hannah ready for swim lessons. Brad said she did some head bobs where she actually got her whole head wet at least two times.
Tuesday: Hannah went to see Momo and Papa while I ran some errands and finished the holiday grocery shopping. (Safeway turkeys are only $6.77 if you make a $20 store purchase.) Hannah got to go with Papa to pick up Nathan. She always has so much fun with her grandparents and cousin.

Thursday & Friday
Thursday: We had a pajama day. Since we were up a little late the night before due to the concert, we slept in and lounged around. I did laundry and cleaned up a bit while Hannah played with all of her toys. In other words, she messed up right after my clean. She had a long late nap and we watched too much television. Then later after bath time, we went and picked up Brad from the airport.
Friday: Brad stayed home from work. He was worn out from his trip and didn't feel well. We tried to sleep in, but even though Hannah was up late from our trip to the airport, she was up nice and early. After breakfast, I took Hannah to soccer class while Brad rested. The rest of the day was normal with a lunch, quiet time, and cartoons for Hannah but with her dad around to make it more exciting.

Wednesday
Hannah and I were up early and off to see her dentist. Hannah's teeth are healthy and clean and her dentist was really pleased. From there, we stopped by to see Tamara who lives near by. We visited for a while then came home and took Petey for a walk. Hannah made quick friends at the park and played there for a few minutes. After lunch and quiet time, we went to see my parents and they fed us dinner. Hannah stayed with them and I went to see Tamara's son, Brenden, sing in the Washoe County Honor Choir. They were fantastic! We got home fairly late but Hannah didn't mind staying up.

Monday
We got up early today and took Brad to the airport for his trip to Vegas. On the way home, we stopped at Jelly Donut and picked up breakfast. Later in the morning, we drove out to the theater at Summit Mall and met the Moyles for a movie. We saw "Astro Boy" and had the theater to ourselves. Hannah liked the movie but I think she liked the popcorn better. She ate almost an entire small bag by herself. After the movie, we went next door to a place called Pace's Pizza Balls with Susanne and the kids and had a new, novel way to eat pizza. It's pizza inside a dough ball. Very good stuff. We came home for quiet time but I had dozed off as well and overslept so I decided Hannah could skip swim lessons for this evening. We called Brad before dinner to say "Hello" and let Hannah complain to him that I turned off the cartoons.

The week in review
This week flew by so fast, I didn't realize it was over yet.
Monday: We went to see the Moyles for a playdate. The kids had fun but Hannah was pretty wound up when we left. She had a late quiet time before going to swim lessons. She actually dunked her head! Hooray for Hannah.
Tuesday: Hannah went to visit Momo and Papa while I did the grocery shopping. It was nice to shop alone and Hannah had a great time hanging out with her grandparents.
Wednesday: Hannah and I had a pajama day and I took care of laundry while she watched too much television. It was windy and cold and neither one of us wanted to go outside.
Thursday: We went to story time at the library. We stopped at the fabric store on the way home to pick up some yarn. Hannah found some fuzzy stuff that she wouldn't let go of and I have no idea what to make with it, but we bought it anyway. After a short quiet time, Papa picked up Hannah to go with him to pick up Nathan from school and hang out for Nate's football exercises. Momo and I went to the Crochet Connection at the Spanish Springs Library.
Friday: The Moyles came over for a playdate. Lots of fun. Brad came home early from work also and that was a treat.

Thursday and Friday
Thursday: Hannah and I barely made it to the library in time to squeeze into the back of the room and see one of the ice skating princesses, Belle, read some stories. Then we returned our books and checked out new ones. We stopped at the playground across the street for a bit then went home for lunch and quiet time. After quiet time, we took Petey out for a little walk around the neighborhood.
Friday: I took Hannah to soccer class at Home Field Athletics then we went to lunch at the pizza buffet and then to buy new curtains for the living/dining room to replace those horrid, broken vertical blinds.

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday
Monday: Hannah and I did the grocery shopping. Since we were already out and about, we picked up a pizza on the way home for lunch. After quiet time, we got ready for swim lessons. These are preschool lessons offered by the local community center. Hannah was excited to be back in the water but had some trouble listening to the teacher.
Tuesday: Hannah went to see Momo and Papa while I went for my hair cut. She had fun playing and making crafts.
Wednesday: I had my dental check up. Hannah played in the corner with some toys and was really patient while I had my cleaning. Swim lessons again in the evening. Hannah listened better and got her eyes wet. That was a big accomplishment.

Thursday & Friday
Hannah and I had a late start to our Thursday and didn't make it out the door for the library. We picked up Nate from school then went to Wendy's for a late lunch. After that, we picked up some sundries at Target and went home to get ready to go to the community center for a safe treat event put on by the Kiwanis Club.

On Friday, Brad took off work early and we went to the pumpkin patch at Ferrari Farms on Mill Street. We had fun going through the corn maze and picking out our pumpkins. We carved them right away which was a ton of fun.
