Wow. It’s time to turn on the sprinklers and pull weeds! Why is it that the weeds can pop up through frost and snow and look oh-so-green-and-healthy while the grass has to be begged to start turning green? Brad wants to put flowers in place of the weeds in our little flower beds but I wonder if we can find some that are hardy enough to not get blown down by the winds we seem to get in the hills.
Birds are nesting in some odd places. We had to evict a couple from behind our front door light sconce. Thanks much to my sister who is lending us use of the plastic owl for a while. I went to Carl's Jr. today and there were sparrows nesting in the drive-thru window overhang. It was a little distracting because they would flutter up and down while I was trying to pay for my food. Nature finds a way in spite of human kind, doesn’t it?
