love how Americans will use any excuse to party. Just remember that idea of Earth Day is to reduce waste, so use a keg instead of indivudual bottles or cans. Also, recycle the bottles, cans, or plastic cups when the party is over. Reuse the plastic bags that the chips came in for the after-party blues.
I am amazed, too, at the people who jump on the bandwagon once a year and try to shake a finger at you to follow the three Rs and they don't even know what they are. It's amusing to me that these people will waste more in the name of comfort than anyone has a right to.
Keep it simple, toss soda cans in the recycle bin. Recycle paper when you've only printed a 15 page document as a draft for review. Turn the water off when you don't need it, like after you've rinsed your coffee cup and have walked away to get a paper towel. Turn lights off and open blinds/curtains when there's daylight. Unplug cell phone chargers when you aren't charging your phone. These small actions are the gateway to more environmentally friendly endeavors.
Ah, a con to not letting people at work read my blogs. Admittedly, the pros outway.
