What we did today, Tuesday, November 4, 2008
• I woke up at 6 AM, got out of bed by 6:30 AM to help Brad get his act together and get off to work. I had some time to myself and made a cup of tea, took a shower, and got dressed. It was nice. Hannah slept until about 8:30 AM, when I woke her sleepy butt up. We need to adjust our schedule a bit so that nap time doesn’t end at sundown. I got her dressed right away.
• Using the bracelet again for potty training. Putting her on the pot, even when she protests. Then I make such a ruckus, hooting and hollering when she goes. We’ll get there eventually.
• Breakfast was cereal in milk with bananas and water to drink. Hannah ate it all up! (Acidophilus)
• Face washed, teeth brushed, hair done. It seems silly that I might continually put this bit of routine into the daily summary, but as it can take 30-45 minutes, I like to know where that chunk of my day went.
• Out the door to get my lab done and maybe stop at a P-A-R-K. Hannah did really well at the lab. She was great at being quiet and being still. We did stop at the park afterwards, but it got really cold as soon as we got there, so we came home and had some hot chocolate.
• Hannah had a fruit snack between the lab and the park. When we came home, we had oatmeal cookies with our hot chocolate. This was 30 minutes of fun, by the way. Messy, chocolaty fun.
• We had story time for a little bit and then we played with blocks and dolls again.
• Hannah had Dora chicken noodle soup, Ritz crackers, and milk for lunch. She ate as much as her lack of attention span would allow.
• I don’t know how we did it, but nap time was still around 1:45 PM. Leave it to an errand and a late snack to monkey up the works. We’ll try better tomorrow after her dentist appointment. I fell asleep with her. We woke up around 4:30 PM. I think the darkness of the day kept us sleepy.
• Hannah had apple juice and goldfish for an afternoon snack. I snuck a piece of candy or two, shhh.
• Brad got home around 4:45 PM. We went out to Nu Yalk Pizza for dinner.
