Sigh. . . sigh. Or Today's summary

  • Hannah had an appointment this morning with an immunology specialist who ordered some blood tests. Hannah did really well for the examination with the doctor and let him look in her nose and ears and even opened her mouth for him to look inside.
  • After her appointment, we came home to have a snack and let Petey out of the laundry room. He's still bandaged and a cone head so he can't be left outside alone or he'll chew his bandage. (He doesn't get free roam of the house due to his unhealthy inclination to chew on little plastic things like toys.)
  • We left again to get Hannah's blood work done. She was a little restless in the waiting room but mostly well behaved. I kind of forgot to explain to her what was going to happen at this "appointment", so she was extremely unpleasantly surprised when the needle went in. She's so itty bitty that the one little vein wasn't going to be enough to get what was needed. My poor, brave, upset little champ had to have both arms stuck. She was not happy and everyone in the lab and waiting area and probably next door as well could hear it. That kid has some lungs, I tell you what. She was so sad that she said, "I feel better, mommy! I not sick, I not sick, get it out, please!" I had to listen to her screaming while I had to hold her and kiss her tear streaked cheeks.
  • We had Wendy's for lunch as a treat. She ate really well, which is good because they took quite a bit of blood for such a tiny person. She ate three chicken tenders, all of her mandarin orange slices, and half a pint of orange juice.
  • We both napped in Mommy's bed with Petey on the sofa in the bedroom. I still hadn't been able to get him to go potty, but he'll tell me when he reallys needs to go, right? He doesn't feel well either. We laid down around 2:30 PM.
  • Brad woke us up when he got home around 4:45 PM.
  • She was dry all day!

Oh, Amy. I'm so sorry! Braedyn had to have blood work done before his tonsils came out, and it took Greg, me, and a second blood tech to hold him still. It sounds like Hannah was a trooper!! You've sure had your hands full lately!

Dude. Greg went with you? Hmmmm, that's nice of him. Don't you think so, Brad?
