• Up at 8:30 AM. Hannah wanted to know where the bear at Nana’s house was. Nana lives in Portola, CA, and they’ve had bears in town recently. Then she wanted to know where Santa was. I explained that he’ll be here in a few more weeks. I hopes she’s not terribly disappointed when he drops off her toys without stopping long enough to visit . . . Then, she wanted to know where Daddy was.
• I let her watch cartoons while I got breakfast/brunch ready. For some reason, it took until 10 AM to get scrambled eggs done. Hannah ate almost two scrambled eggs with ketchup, one piece of bacon, and all of the raisins and cinnamon out of her toast. It’s magic how she does it. The bread is still intact.
• Washed face, brushed and flossed teeth, potty and put panties on (we’re late this morning), and got dressed. I didn’t get a shower but we’re just hanging around the house today. Petey doesn’t mind and Hannah doesn’t say anything if she does.
• Hannah rediscovered her Bouncing Tigger toys. How fun.
• We played with sticker letters for a while and made an alphabet craft. Basically, all of the stickers were carefully placed on top of each other on a piece of paper. Hannah thought it was great fun. Then we went outside and played for about 30 minutes. Hannah had an accident so we came back inside.
• Lunch for Hannah was a ham and cheese sandwich and banana with orange juice. I put a little bit of my salad on her plate but it went ignored. It was a struggle to get the child to eat. It’s like she doesn’t know that she’s supposed to be hungry. I left her to sit for a while and she missed out on seeing the trash truck and didn’t get to share my cherry flavored yogurt or get a cookie.
• Poopy on the potty before nap! She got her M&Ms later. I didn’t want to break routine too much. It actually caught her by surprise, like she didn’t know she had to go number two.
• Naptime was close to 2 PM. After Hannah settled down, she fell asleep quickly. My productivity during nap was hampered by a lengthy phone call from an in-law. I didn’t get anything done. Hannah woke up around 4 PM, dry.
• Petey has had an exciting day. Not only is it trash and recycling day, but the power company meter reader was here, a realtor is showing the house behind us, and a giant cat is roaming the fence posts and shed-tops. He is really stressed out.
• Pretzels and pink moo for snack. Cartoons on while I worked on laundry and dishes. If you're wondering, right now she’s into “Dora, the Explorer” and “Go, Diego, Go”. She’s also really digging “The Backyardigans” and “Wonder Pets”.
• Brad got home at 6:15 PM.
