What we did on Monday, December 29, 2008

• I woke up around 7:30 AM to get ready for our playdate, but my head was pounding so I went back to bed. I feel bad because Hannah wanted to go meet some new friends and she was very excited about it when she woke up around 8:30 AM. She was dissappointed when I told her we weren't going but she understood. She said, "I'm sorry you have owie in your head, Mommy." Isn't that sweet?
• Scrambled eggs and toasted bagel for breakfast. I don't like bagels much, but since I bought them for Brad and he's not eating them, someone needs to. Hannah didn't care for it either.
• I asked Hannah if she was going to sit still and watch a movie while I took shower and she asked if she could take a shower, too. She just stood and complained about the "rain" while I speed-bathed.
  
• Hannah and I went to the park. We made it half way there when Hannah noticed it was windy, so we had to go back to the house and pick up the kite. When we got to the park, it wasn't windy anymore. The weather was really nice and a few people were out and about today. Hannah got excited when a couple of older kids came to play on the slides. She asked if her friends were here to play and didn't seem to notice when they completely ignored her and stepped over her to play. She was still nice enough to say good-bye to them when they left, but they didn't turn around.
• Lunch was leftovers from our lunch at Gumba's in Blairsden yesterday. I love that we spent $5-6 bucks for Hannah to have dinosaur chicken nuggets at a restaurant when I already have some in my freezer. She also had half an orange and some chips. We shared a cookie, too.
• Nap was a huge battle. The child would not settle down. See how she became "the child" there? Oh boy, she frustrated me to no end. I finally threatened her with spending the rest of the day in bed if she didn't close her eyes and lie still. It took an hour from start to finish to get her to sleep. There was much yelling and screaming. I was so worn out after she finally conked out, that I laid down in my bed and dozed off as well.
• We woke up when Brad got home around 5 PM.
