What we did on Tuesday, December 9, 2008

• It was just before 7 AM when Hannah crawled into bed with me. We stayed in bed until about 8:30 AM. She didn’t even open her eyes yet when she asked where her daddy was. Her pull-up was wet. Potty and panties right away.
• Pink moo and toasty sticks. This time I did the original kind and she ate most of it. I think she doesn’t like the syrup stuffed kind.
• I showered. Hooray. I know, you’re very welcome. Hannah watched cartoons while I got dressed. Then she got dressed and had a mini-mani/pedi. Washed Hannah’s face and brushed teeth. It’s really taking us a while to get going today.
• Hannah had some fruit snack for a little snack.
• Out the door around noon to run errands and maybe stop at the park. Putting a pull-up on for the outing. We played at the park for about 15 minutes. It was chilly with the breeze. Hannah was dry when we got home.
• Lunch: ham and cheese, apple slices, string cheese, and pink moo. She was playing and not really eating. Eating a cookie in front of her didn’t even help her focus.
• Poopy on the potty!
• Nap time around 2:15 PM. She fell asleep quickly and stayed asleep until about 4:15 PM. She was dry so we went straight to the potty.
• Popcorn for snack while watching cartoons.
• We curled her hair and changed Hannah’s clothes to get ready to go see Santa Claus.
• Dry all day!
• Brad got home at 5 PM.

Hi Amy! I want to see pics of Hannah with Santa...love your daily updates. For some reason I'm fascinated with the potty training...and jealous too. Matt refuses to go on the potty.

Hannah refused for a while as well. We backed off for a week or two and left the choice to her if she wanted to sit potty or not. Then we snuck in mandatory potty times, like when she woke from sleep/nap, before eating, before going outside. Eventually, we've worked it to where she doesn't get a choice. She sits when I say it's time to potty. We try to go once an hour, after waking, before eating, and before sleeping. Also, we go before leaving home even though she's in a pull-up. Just to set a routine. It's working pretty good. She doesn't tell me when she has to go, but I hope she'll start to recognize it soon.
