What we did on Wednesday, December 10, 2008

• Good gravy, she climbed into bed with us at 6:30 AM. That was just in time for Brad to get up for work. Hannah and I ended up sleeping until 9 AM. She immediately started singing “Santa Claus is Coming to Town” and asked if it was Christmas Day today.
• Hannah wanted to watch her Thomas movie. Maybe we’ll do half of a pajama day. I know we just had one on Monday. . .
• Cereal in milk with orange juice. She ate like a champ. It helps that she was eating Fruity Pebbles, of course, but it’s food.
• Brushed and washed. Dressed. I have not had a shower yet but I'm dressed. Maybe I'll get to get wet at nap.
• We made a Christmas craft. I cut out shapes (Christmas tree, squares, circles, stars, and snowflakes) and put glue all over the paper and she stuck stuff to it. I also let her “cut, cut, cut” some scrap paper with safety scissors. This was more fun for her. We worked a little on shape recognition. She gets it.
• Hannah played and I cleaned up her toys a little bit. I found the fishy puzzle pieces.
• Lunch was a corn dog, chips, the other half of yesterday’s apple, pink moo, and pudding.
• Hannah went down for nap around 1:30 PM. She took a little while to fall asleep. I sat at the end of her bed until the lullaby CD stopped playing. I got up to get some work done and five minutes later she was trying to wake up. I put her on the potty and took her back to bed. I laid down with her to try to get her right back to sleep. Then the dog barked, the postman came, someone pounded their bass speakers at a neighbors house, and another neighbor was hammering on something. I convinced her to close her eyes anyway. I dozed off but it seems that she never did go back to sleep. I made her finish out an hour more of her naptime before she was allowed to get up. I wish I hadn’t fallen asleep because I woke up with a headache. We got up around 3:45 and went straight to the potty again.
• Leftover popcorn and pink moo for snack. Cartoons on while I tried to get some clean up done.
• Today, all I got done was caring for the child (a big job, I know, BUT…), a couple of loads of laundry washed but not folded, and I finished loading the dishwasher and ran it. I didn’t shower or watch any television. We didn’t make it outside, either. My time management skills must have deteriorated or something. Bright side: we did a craft and I did post a blog this morning that wasn’t a daily summary.
• Poopy on the potty! M&Ms for reward. Of course, it was on our scheduled time, but she realized she had to do #2 when she got up on the pot.
• Brad got home around 5:15 PM and he and Hannah played with her Santa stickers from the mall. She also showed off our art that we made today.
