- Hannah and I got up just after 8 AM (Hannah bounced out of bed to greet the gray light of morning, I crawled under the sheets away from it) and got ready for our playdate at the Moyles.
- Pink moo and toasty sticks. I had cereal.
- Hannah watched "Piglet's Big Movie" while I showered then we got her dressed and washed as well.
- My goal was to leave by 10 AM and it so happens we were backing out of the driveway precisely at that time. Yeah, leaving on time rocks when we can pull it off. We got to Susanne's at about 10:30 AM. There is something about going to her house that always sends me for a loop. On the times that I forget to turn onto the right street in her neighborhood, it's easy to correct and find my way back. Today, though, I got off the freeway on the wrong exit which pointed me northbound on Virginia Street when I needed to be southbound. Oh, well. We had a scenic detour and eventually righted ourselves somewhere around Zolezzi. At least, I knew my way through her neighborhood this time.
- I had a great time visiting with Susanne and watching the children play. Hannah had a good time, too. She's funny though because she'll play by herself for a while, then she'll remember there are friends around, then she'll play by herself again. The children only suffered minor injuries on this visit, each of them seemingly self inflicted. It just goes to show that my kid has inherited my clumsy gene as she somehow bonked her nose on the door of a play kitchen.
- The kids had pasta shells with cheese, apple slices, and craisins with juice. Hannah ate pretty well. For a dessert treat, they/we had mini marshmallows and chocolate chips. Straight chocolate and puffy sugar is always a hit with the little ones. We left around 2 PM and got in the door just around 2:30 PM.
- Hannah fell asleep in the car on the way home, but woke up when I tried to take her coat off. I had to rub her feet to get her back to sleep and she was asleep again by 3 PM.
- Petey managed to stretch around so that he could push his little paw past the edge of the head cone and chewed the gauze off. I took the rest of the gauze and tape off for him. He seems more comfortable now.
- Brad got home just after 5 PM and Hannah woke up just afterward.
- Kiddo was dry all day except the part where she overshot the toilet seat and got the back of her pants wet. Yes, sometimes girls do that.
