Fat Tuesday

We got up just after 8 AM. I found out that our play date had to cancel today, so we took our time getting up.

Breakfast was cereal in milk with orange juice. She ate almost all of it.

We played around the house for a little bit. I did more laundry and started the beans cooking in the crock pot for our red beans and rice.

Rice crispy treat for snack.

Around 11 AM, we went outside. Hannah pointed out all of Petey's landmines for me to clean up, so I cleaned them up. (You're welcome, Brad.) We played outside for almost an hour. She drew with chalk, played on the slide, and dug holes in the mud with an old spoon. I let her play with a broom while I swept the back patio and she thought that was so much fun.

Lunch was peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, dried fruit, chips, and apple juice. She helped me make her (half) sandwich and gobbled it up.

Hannah fell asleep around 1:30 PM. I let her lay down and set the timer for 20 minutes. She was asleep before the timer went off. I finished chopping veggies for the bean dish and cleaned up the dishes. The only thing left to cook would be the sausage and rice. More laundry. I woke her up just before 4 PM. Well, she opened her eyes when I went to check on her and I didn't let her go back to sleep.

Hannah got to watch her rented Dora movie since it has to go back tomorrow.

She played with her Lincoln Logs and toy farm animals. Then she played Hullabaloo for about a minute.

She asked for a rice crispy treat for a snack.

Brad got home around 5:30 PM.

Well, since I'd had more than my share today, I gave her one.
