Hannah played with her kitchen for a long time. After she played for a while, we pulled out the white board and dry erase markers and drew pictures. When attention for that was spent, we went out to the back yard. The sun shone through the clouds every now and then, so I moved my chair to the grass to get the most UV that I could. Hannah played for a minute with sidewalk chalk, a minute in her play house, then a few more minutes with a spoon in the mud. She promised not to get muddy and did fairly well until she sat in a puddle. She tried. We were outside for about 30 minutes because it was a little chilly.
We watched another cartoon because she really wanted me to cuddle with her.
Lunch was leftovers. Hannah had the leftover chicken strips from Applebee's the other night with orange slices and chips with apple juice to drink.
I tried something different at nap time today. I set a timer for 15 minutes. I told her to get her wiggles out and that when the timer went off that I would come and sit on her bed. I let her know that when I came to sit on her bed, she needed to close her eyes and lay still or I would leave the room and she would have to spend the entire nap alone. It worked. I did have to give her a little warning after I sat down because she wanted to chat, but she fell asleep in 15 minutes of me sitting down. I woke her up at a quarter past four. She'd been in bed for two hours but asleep for only an hour and a half.
Hannah played dress up and with her dolls for a long time. She pretended that she was Dora Explorer and we even had to call Go-Diego-Go, or Daddy, on the phone to tell him to come home to play.
Brad got home around 5:45 PM.
Notes:
- We had to change pants three times today. Once for sitting in a puddle and twice for overshooting the toilet rim during potty times; however, these were not actual accidents.
