What we did today, Monday, October 6, 2008

• A very sleep Garrett was dropped off before 6:30 AM. He didn’t go back to sleep but watched cartoons until Hannah woke up around 7:30 AM.
• Breakfast (7:30 AM) was Fruity Pebbles cereal in pink yogurt (whole vanilla with strawberry quick stirred in). Both kids said this was their favorite.
• I tried to keep the kids quiet so Brad could sleep in today since he’s not feeling well and has a procedure later. Yeah, that lasted until about 8:15 AM. I think the remaining birthday balloons will be leaving us tonight.
• Faces washed, teeth brushed, and everyone (except me) dressed for the day.
• We had fun with balloons, blocks, and kitchen pans.
• Craft time! I drew shapes on construction paper and gave these guys safety scissors. We worked on shape recognition.
• We woke Brad up around 9:30 AM so I could shower and dress. It’s amazing that he didn’t wake up before now with all of the commotion that two kids and a dog can make.
• Snack (9:30 AM) was peaches. Garrett was still hungry so he also ate a cheese stick.
• We did Hannah’s nebulizer at 10 AM.
• Still running in the hallway. Hannah volunteered for timeout when I gave a rhetorical question.
• At about 10:30 AM, we went to the park for about 45 minutes.
• Lunch (11:30 AM) was left over fettuccini alfredo with Vienna sausages, Monterey Jack cheese and apple juice. They ate so well that they got a few M&Ms for dessert.
• Naptime (Around 12 PM) Garrett was done eating first so he got to read some books in bed for a few minutes waiting for Hannah. Hannah was up at 2:20 PM. Garrett slept until 3:15 PM. I slept also for as long as Hannah did less the times that the dog barking woke me up. This napping seems to be a habit I’m forming. Won’t say now if it’s a good or bad habit.
• Snack (3:35 PM) was raisins and dry alphabet cereal with lemonade to drink.
• We glued the paper that we cut up earlier to wrapping paper tubes. It was fun if it isn’t pretty.
• Somehow Petey scratched Garrett but Garrett couldn’t tell me how it happened.
• We did some phonics flash cards but Hannah was being rude so we didn’t finish.
• We went out back around 4:30 PM.
• Garrett went home around 5:30 PM. Brad got home around the same time.
• Brad isn’t feeling well after the something-oscopy that he had today, so Hannah and I went to Pizza Plus for dinner and pigged, I say PIGGED out.
