What we did today, Thursday, October 23, 2008
• I woke around 10 AM because Petey was giving this small pathetic whine that said, “I really have to go outside now. Really.” Hannah had woken at 5 AM with a 102.5 fever and we gave her Motrin. She’s still asleep at this time.
• Hannah woke up just before 11 AM.
• Breakfast was a toaster waffle and pink moo. Whatever she wants at this point. She ate almost a whole waffle.
• Hannah and I read The Jungle Book by Rudyard Kipling for a little while. She listens for a while then gets bored sitting still with out pictures to look at.
• Brad came home at lunch, but we had just finished breakfast, so we didn’t eat with him. Hannah has her cranky pants on and isn’t being very nice.
• We started watching Daft Punk's Interstellar 5555, but it bored Hannah.
• We had lunch around 1:30 PM. I had lunch. Hannah refused leftover pizza, managed two bites of chicken bologna, forced down some bites of a sugar/butter sandwich, and drank a little Gatorade.
• Nap came at 2 PM, and she fell asleep quickly. I let her sleep in my bed. I checked on her around 4 PM and she was hot. 105.3 in the ear, and 104 by mouth (silly little pacifier thermometer, but I had to try for a second opinion, so to speak). Brad called doctor and they’ll call back in an hour. I gave her Motrin, Gatorade on ice, and a tepid bath that upset her so much. She wants to keep lying down in my bed.
• Doc said to keep her hydrated and cool. If fever spikes again, we’ll take her in tomorrow.
• Hannah asked for some toasty sticks around 5 PM. “Anything you want to eat, you get, baby girl!”
• Brad got home around 5:20 PM.
