What we did today, Wednesday, October 15, 2008
• Up at 6 AM and had me and Hannah out the door by 7:15 AM so I could drop her off at my parents’ house and get to the dentist by 8 AM. I took her over in her pajamas, but her face was washed and her teeth were brushed.
• Breakfast was toasty sticks and pink moo that I dropped off with Hannah.
• My dentist appointment went quickly, just x-rays and cleaning today. We did spot three “almost-cavities” that will need some filling, pre-cavity or something. Ah, well, I couldn’t have perfect teeth forever, could I?
• Mom and dad were still good to keep Hannah for a while, so I stopped off at It’s A Grind for a White Chocolate Café Mocha and a slice of their blueberry coffee cake. If you’re in Sparks, skip the Starbucks and go to It’s A Grind. They are so much better. I came back home and tried to catch up on Tivo-ed programs.
• I called to check on Hannah around noon and decided to go get her since she was throwing a fit in the background and my dad was sounding tired about it. I think she may have been pushing more emotion than she actually felt about whatever it was, but that’s what tots do, right? Get dramatic?
• Brad came home for lunch and went with me to get Hannah. We came straight home and she went straight to bed. She fell asleep around 12:45 PM. I watched the end of Ghost Rider and started Monday’s episode of Heroes. Hannah tried to wake up after just one hour, but I got her back to sleep on the sofa. That ended my attempt to watch Heroes. I laid down with her on the sofa and we slept (Petey, too) until 4 PM.
• We played out front on the tricycle and in the dirt until Brad got home around 5:30 PM. The highlight was trying to keep Petey (le beagle) from eating Patches (le chat).
