What we did today, Thursday, October 16, 2008
• I was up at 6:30 AM and showered before Brad left for work. Hannah slept until 7:10 AM. I tried to get her back to sleep because she had her cranky pants on, but she insisted on staying awake and whining for the next 30 minutes or so.
• Breakfast (8:15 AM) was scrambled eggs and toasted raisin bread with pink moo. Hannah was hungry and chowed down on her eggs like a champ.
• By 9 AM, I had breakfast cooked and cleaned up, dishes washed, tables wiped down, laundry collected, and a load of laundry in the washer.
• Hannah’s face is washed, teeth brushed, body dressed.
• We moved the car so it wasn’t blocking the driveway any more.
• Snack (9:45 AM) was graham crackers and grapes with apple juice. She couldn’t wait for her guests to get here.
• The Moyles came over for a play date around 10 AM and Hannah had a great time playing with her friends. Mostly, I think she enjoyed showing off her toys. We had homemade pizza for lunch with apple juice for the kids. They also got to put frosting on their own sugar cookies, which seemed to be fun for them.
• Naptime (1:20-1:30 PM) was a struggle, Hannah didn’t want to settle down. When she finally did lie still, she was out like a light getting hit with Windex in a MacGyver show. She woke up around 3:15 PM asking for M&Ms.
• Hannah didn’t want to play outside. She just wanted to sit in my lap. I read while she wiggled in my lap and watched TV. I selfishly took advantage of the cuddle opportunity.
• Hannah went outside about 5 minutes before Brad came home. She wanted to float boats in her paddling pool that’s been packed up for over a month. I gave her a toy bin filled with an inch of water and some sponge cut up into small shapes.
