What we did today, Friday, November 7, 2008

• I woke up at 6 AM and got into the shower right away. I woke up with my neck and shoulder locked up again. It hurts. I woke Hannah up at 6:40 AM. Brad made her toasty sticks and milk. We got dressed, brushed teeth, combed hair, and washed face. We were out the door by 7:40 AM for my doctor’s appointment. By the way, it can take 25 minutes to go six miles in this town these days. Just so you know.
• We went to my appointment where Hannah could not sit still, bounced from seat to seat, talked the entire time my doctor was talking to me, and ended up in time out for trying to put the pull cord from the mini-blinds around her neck. Yeah, I have that kid.
• I was hungry after that, so we went to the Black Bear Diner on the way home and had breakfast. Hannah ate all of her egg and some of her pancakes. I ate her bacon.
• We stopped at the park on our way home and played for about 20 minutes.
• When we came home, we let Petey out of the crate (oops!) and Hannah played with her cards and dolls and her imagination. Then we played in my room where the sun was nice and warm and watched Lilo and Stitch.
• Lunch was fish sticks, tator tots, diced peaches, and apple juice. For some reason, it was still 1:30 PM before we ate. I don’t know what’s going on. I looked at the clock at noon and thought about making lunch, but for some reason I lost that hour. Hannah ate all of her fish sticks and all of her peaches. The tator tots were crap and I didn’t even like them, so I didn’t make her eat them. I let her have one piece of candy.
• Since Nephew Nate is coming over around 2 PM, I didn’t make Hannah go straight to bed. Maybe she’ll go to bed early.
• Nate got here just after 2 PM and played with Hannah and read her stories. I ordered “The Pirates Who Don’t Do Anything” on pay per view. Hannah wasn’t interested in anything but Nathan. I sent them out back to play for a while. She says he’s her best friend. It’s sweet.
• My dad came and took the two kids to the park. That left the pitiful, screaming beagle and me to hang out in silence. I watched half of “My Name is Earl” before they got back.
• Hannah had an oatmeal cookie for a quick snack.
• Nate left around 4:30 PM, so we turned on our movie. Hannah was asleep 15 minutes later. About 20 minutes after that, I got up to close blinds and curtains and then Petey moved into my spot by Hannah’s feet. Then Hannah turned over and was half sleeping on top of him. So cute. I don’t know if it was the flash photography or the pushy dog, but Hannah woke up at 6:10 PM.
• Brad got home around 7 PM with dinner. Yeah, we know we've been eating out a lot. Yeah, we know.
