What we did today, Thursday, November 13, 2008
• I was awake from 3 AM, when Hannah climbed in bed with us, until about 5:45 AM. I finally dozed off in time for Brad to get up for work. Hannah and I got out of bed around 7 AM. I gave her pink moo and toasty sticks and got her dressed then hopped in for a quick shower. Then I got her dressed and brushed hair and teeth. We were out the door on time and 15 minutes early for my chiropractor appointment. She sat like such a big girl during my adjustment.
• We then went to help my friend retrieve her car from downtown and take her back to work. On our way home we stopped at “Becca’s Park”. Hannah played until she was cranky at not being big enough to climb some of the jungle gym, then we came home for lunch.
• My friend, Tamara, stopped by for a few minutes with some previously-played-with toys for Hannah and a couple of games and stuff for us. That was very nice and Hannah was very excited to get “new” toys.
• Lunch was egg salad sandwiches and celery sticks. I had to bribe Hannah with candy to get her to eat. Of course, she didn’t eat the celery, but she did chew one piece up and spit it out. That’s closer than we’ve ever been. She earned her candy.
• Nap came close to 1:15 PM and she slept until 3:30 PM. She wanted some cuddle time, which allowed me to finish the book for next week’s book club meeting. I was worried that I wouldn’t have time to read it because it was late getting here. It came on Monday and I finished it today. Twilight by Stephenie Meyer was a very quick and enjoyable read. I’m trying very hard not to run out and pick up the next book in the series tonight. I’ll go tomorrow. . . Ooh! And the movie comes out in about a week. My inner teenager is saying "eep!" right now.
• Brad got home after 5 PM. He still has a job.
