I had my alarm set so that I could get up and make Brad breakfast. He took the morning off from work. Somehow, I turned it off and slept until almost 9:30 AM. So did Hannah. I had to work to wake her up. I think I'm going to have to finish reading that book about how to get kids to sleep by themselves, because she climbed into bed with us again last night. Neither one of us woke up when she got in bed.
I made egg in a basket breakfasts before Brad headed to work. Hannah ate about half of an egg.
After Brad went to work, we played with some flash cards. Hannah talked about how dark the day was. When that 10 minutes was up, we went and wrapped Brad's little birthday gift. His big gift is that he gets to go out for drinks tonight, a family dinner tomorrow, and then we get to see Thomas the Tank Engine LIVE! at Lawlor Events Center on Sunday. We also made a card for daddy which involved coloring with crayons and markers, stickers, and cutting and pasting. It was quite a project.
I think the grey day had Hannah a little blue. She just wanted her ni-night (blanket) and to watch cartoons. I let her watch Diego while I packed her bag for the sleepover at Momo and Papa's house. She gets to spend the night with them and her cousin, Nathan, since Brad and I are meeting friends for drinks tonight.
Hannah was being a little disagreeable today. I think it's the lack of sunshine. Attitudes needed adjusting. We turned on the Pooh movie and cuddled for a little while and listened for the trash truck.
Lunch was leftover macaroni and cheese and hot dog. She barely ate but took her time not eating that much. I cleaned a couple of windows while I waited for her to finish.
Nap didn't come until after 2:30 PM. I cleaned more windows while she slept. Brad got home just after 4 PM and went in to wake Hannah up. She wanted to keep sleeping but grudgingly came out to give her daddy his birthday present and card. Then she asked him to watch cartoons with her. After Dora, Brad took Hannah to Momo and Papa's for her sleepover.
