We stayed home today

(8:30-ish AM) Hannah woke up and said, "There's a turtle in the water at my school!" Which is true. There is a turtle in a tank in the reception area of her old daycare. I woke up congested so we had a bit of a lazy start to our day.

(9:15 AM) Hannah had seconds on breakfast today which was Lucky Charms Cereal.

We had a little cuddle time. After a couple of cartoons, I turned on the radio and Hannah played in her room and my room and everywhere in between while I changed sheets and folded laundry. At one point there were several (no less than seven) stuffed animals going night-night in her bed. She pulled some of her extra blankets out of the closet and stacked them up on her bed. Another activity was turning a laundry basket on it's side and making it into the smallest of forts with blankets over it.

We went out to the back yard around 12:30 PM and Hannah found some sticky mud to play in. It was warmer than I thought it would be and that was nice to sit in the sun. We came inside when Hannah started putting mud in Petey's water dishes. I asked her to think about what she had just done and if she thought that it was OK to put mud in Petey's water. She answered, "No. I sorry, Petey."

(2 PM) We had leftover honey mustard chicken and penne with tomatoes and basil. Hannah also had some string cheese and apple juice to drink. We had some Nutter Butter Bites for dessert since someone (Brad!) took the rest of the cookies to work today.

(2:30 PM) Nap time. Hannah was tired. She had tried to lay down before lunch. She asked me to sit on the end of her bed, so I read some of my book club book. I let Petey sit next to me. He's usually not allowed on the bed, but it was a little treat for him. Besides, if he's snoring next to me, he's not in the back yard barking.

(4:45 PM) I think the sun is going down later and that's messing me up. It was getting dark by 4:30 PM just a couple of weeks ago, then we didn't have sunshine for several days and now, well, Hannah slept late again today.

One cartoon and cuddle time.

Daddy got home at 5:30 PM.

Notes:
  • Hannah told me she had to poop- not that her belly hurt which is what she usually to says.
  • She had two changes of clothes today. I had to change her pants after playing in the mud and also her shirt and pants after she spilled juice on herself at lunch. It's all good, though, because these weren't potty accidents!
  • Our new postman may have been singing along to his portable music device (I can't say for sure if he had an MP3 player or a walkman, so this is correct) or he was talking to himself. Oh, he could have been on the phone, I guess. Either way, he got Petey really riled up and me trying to figure out where this man's voice was coming from.
  • Total TV time at 5 PM - 1.5 hours.
