Ground Hog Day

[He saw his shadow, but I won't mind six more weeks of this winter weather. What a nice day for sunshine!]

We woke up around 8:30 AM and got out of bed about half an hour later. We had a play date today, but the morning was slow going. Pink moo and toasty sticks by request. We worked on the rephrasing of a demand into a request (saying please and thank you).

We were backing out of the driveway exactly at 10:30 AM to go to our play date at the Moyle house. Susanne and I thought we would try something different this time and I brought Hannah's nap gear (sleeping bag, pillow, pink ni-night/blanket, puppy stuffy, and Tigger toy). Hannah ate: banana muffin for snack, macaroni and cheese with shredded cheddar and apple slices for lunch, and carrot sticks with ranch for snack. The kids played and played and played. They seemed to get along really well today, well for preschoolers anyway. Hannah only slept for about an hour in the spare room. Susanne and I had such a nice visit and we were glad to have the chance to finish conversations. The kids watched a cartoon after nap time and played some more. Hannah and I stayed until about 4:30 PM. Braedyn and Emily were cute and chased Hannah down the drive way in their bare feet for extra hugs. Hannah needs to work a little bit on listening better to mommy when she plays with friends.

Brad beat us home and we got there just after 5 PM.
