We woke up around 8:30 AM and got ready for the day. Hannah ate pink moo and toasty sticks and let me shower. She had some trouble listening when it came time to start heading out the door for my appointment, but eventually, she landed in the car seat and we made it right on time.
Hannah sat still pretty well while I got my hair cut. She tried to be shy with Cheri, my stylist, but after a few minutes she was singing songs and bouncing around. She ate some mini muffins and lemonade while at the salon.
After my hair cut, we stopped at the fabric store for some more yarn for the blanket Hannah wanted me to make her. She behaved herself and talked about the Pirate Ship restaurant the entire time we were there. I drove past it on the way home just for her to see it.
We had chicken and stars soup with buttered crackers and a Baby Bel cheese. Hannah watched me crumble my crackers in my soup the last time we had some and crumbled her crackers on her own this time. Thank goodness for the dog and a Dust Buster to clean up that mess.
Nap time was a struggle because someone wanted to play but still wanted me to sit on her bed. The deal is that I'll sit on her bed if she tries really hard to go to sleep. If she plays, well, I've got other things I need to do. She threw a tantrum and I threatened to take the ni-night (blanket) away at which she promptly settled down. After she showed me she could lay still, I sat on her bed again. Within minutes, she was out cold. I tried to wake her up after about two hours but she said she wanted to sleep more. I gave her 20 minutes and pestered her again. She still lounged around and said that she didn't want to wake up yet.
Fruit snack and apple juice for snack while watching "The Wonder Pets!" on TV.
Brad got home around 5:30 PM and I took off to my book club meeting.
