Monday, the first day. . .

Susanne and I agreed to an experiment. Every Monday, we'll trade off watching each other's kids to allow for some Mommy free-time. Today was the first time we're trying this and the Moyle kids came over here.

I woke up before Brad which was good for me, but not for Brad because he was late. Hannah woke up around 8:30 AM. Pink moo and toasty sticks.

Susanne dropped off the kids around 9:30 AM. We turned on the kids' radio and they went straight for the toys. They all played with blocks to start off, but weren't exactly playing with blocks together. Funny little monkeys. Then the girls played with dolls and puzzles and Braedyn asked me to put together the Hotwheels tracks. I would have taken his temperature if he hadn't.

Snack was some wonderfully sweet bread that Susanne brought over with milk to drink. No one could get enough.

I had had high ambitions to take the kids to the park, but it was a lot of work to get them into the backyard so I think I will have to work up to that. We spent about half an hour outside. They played a little with chalk, a little more with bouncy balls and the slide, and a bunch more digging in the dirt.

We came inside and they played with blocks some more while I made lunch. Lunch was chicken nuggets, corn, cheese, and apple juice. Each of the girls only ate one nugget but where Hannah ate almost all of her corn and one bite of cheese, Emily ate all of her cheese and one bite of corn. Braedyn ate two three nuggets and most of everything else. They got to have chocolate pudding for dessert.

I put "Lilo and Stitch" on for them to watch while I made and ate my lunch. Susanne picked up the kids around 1 PM and I had Hannah in bed by 1:30 PM. She tried to play and didn't want to settle down, but I let her stay in there longer than the timer before I sat on the end of her bed. She fell asleep just before 2 PM and woke up around 3:15 PM. I let her watch cartoons while she had some fruit snack.

Brad got home around 5:15 PM.
