Monday, again. Funny how it keeps coming back.

Garrett was dropped off while I showered (sometime between 6:15-6:45 AM). I had a hard time keeping him quiet while Hannah slept so I let him play some video games to pass the time. We have the little Namco and Atari (newer release) sets that has the game console inside the joystick. Hannah woke up around 7:45 AM and tried to take a turn playing a game. These games were made in the 1980s so they were kind of a bust for these little guys.

Both kids ate pink moo and toasty sticks while watching cartoons.

We ran to the store for a couple of emergency items like milk and a pharmacy item. The kids started running around like nuts so I grabbed a cart and stuck Hannah in the seat. Garrett had to put his hands in his pockets and then they were under control at that point. We had to wait a few minutes for the pharmacy to open so we (I) recited the days of the week and the months in the year for them.

We got home and the kids colored with markers for a whole 10 minutes then played in Hannah's room.

Snack: dried fruit, Ritz crackers, Gatorade.

The kids were running around like nuts when Nick came to work on the bathroom and they bonked heads. I gave them a "toldyaso" about the running then ice packs and kisses and they were fine.

We went outside for about an hour - mostly in the shade on the patio. They took turns riding Hannah's tricycle and pretending to drive places. We talked about different places you can go and the different things you might see there such as the beach, the mountains, a store, and a baseball game.

Lunch for the kids: leftover sausage, mac 'n cheese, and cob corn. Brad came home for lunch and brought Taco Bell and a Dr. Pepper. What a great thing to do!

Since there was going to be a bit of noise in the back of the house with Nick working on the master bath, I put the kids on a quilt on the living room floor. I started them out watching "Bolt" but they wouldn't settle down, so I turned the movie off. Under threat of "I'll tell your dad(s) that you aren't listening well today!" they finally quieted down. It probably helped that I was sitting in the rocker saying, "Hush". Garrett fell asleep around 12:45 PM, while Hannah just wiggled on the floor. She was starting to wake Garrett up so I put her in her bed room which greatly upset her but she fell asleep in minutes. It was close to 1:30 PM by this time.

Garrett slept for about two hours. He might have slept longer except for Nick was using a saws all. I turned the movie back on for him. I checked on Hannah and she wanted to stay in bed. She ended up sleeping for about two hours as well. The kids played in Hannah's room for a while.

Snack: chocolate milk and popcorn. The kids played with pretend keys for a long time, locking all the doors.

Garrett was picked up around 4:45 PM. Brad got home at 5 PM.

[The boring bit about me: I worked on Sherrie's wrap for a bit while the kids played. More laundry. Blogging and internet surfing. I had to choose quiet activities since the little bugs were sleeping. I unloaded and loaded the dishwasher.]
