Tuesday was a "Mama ain't happy" day.

Garrett was dropped off around 6:15 AM. Again, he had trouble sitting still and staying quiet so it ended up that Hannah woke up around 7 AM. Garrett and I had a talk about why Hannah needed to sleep longer (see next paragraph to see why she needs more sleep) and that he was going to try really hard to stay quiet from now on in the mornings. Pink moo and toasty sticks for both.

By 8:30 AM, Hannah had been sent to time out twice. She pushed Garrett and refused to apologize then threw a major fit in time out, so she got sent to bed to finish her fit. The second time was timeout for both kids because I'd asked them to clean up toys twice and they ignored me. Hannah tried playing in time out, so she was sent to bed again.

I tried to guide them in a game of Hullaballoo, but it's a listening game and Hannah, especially, was not listening at all, so I put it away. I pulled out cars and they spent some time pushing those across the room. Hannah got time out again for throwing cars in the air and she got sent to bed again for playing while in time out.

Snack: mandarin orange slices and apple-cherry juice.

We went through some flash cards for about 15 minutes. This set covers alphabet, colors, numbers, and shapes. Of course we skipped the numbers for now. After that, we did some stretching exercises and then I let them loose in the backyard for about an hour to play in the dirt.

Lunch: turkey and cheese with mayo on wheat with pickle and cucumber on the side. I know the cucumber was redundant, but I was trying to get Hannah to eat un-pickled pickles. It was a no-go.

Straight down for nap after lunch. Hannah in her room, Garrett on his mat in the living room. Nick was still working on the bathroom so there was a little bit of noise, but the kids fell asleep quickly anyway. Oh, and Brad came home for lunch again, loudly. But he brought me a bottle of Dr. Pepper so all was forgiven. Both Hannah and Garrett slept for about 3 hours.

Snack: dry Kix cereal and water.

I put on "The Pirates Who Don't Do Anything" for them to watch. After less than an hour of the movie, they played rainy day hide-and-seek which was funny because the only places to hide were Hannah's room and the living room. It was a fast game.

Garrett went home just after 5 PM. Brad got home around 5:30 PM.

[The boring bit about me: I tried to straighten up the house and finish the laundry I'd started. I mostly policed the kids. Unloaded dishwasher, surfed the internet for vanity/sink combos, crocheted.]
